Dear Larry,

It was a great treat to hear your 'Tall Tales" at the Joe Riley Baseball Stadium on Monday night. I know the kids loved the story of all the tortillas - leave it to a woman to outfox the men in her life! You connected to the audience right away and kept them mesmerized with your story. I wish you lived closer to Charleston so we could get together more often and share the tales! Our kids sure got a real taste of Texas with your visit!

We were especially pleased with the turnout of over 125 kids and parents who came to the game early just to listen to stories! The library personnel and the volunteers from the Friends of the Library were all impressed by the participation and attentiveness of the children, we were so glad to see so many children listening to stories told for years once again enthralled. New ears listening to old tales, taking and sharing to make new stories to tell to others - it is a circle that never ends. Of course, the adults were having fun too!

Please come back - and often! We would love to have you join us for-more stories and have more time to visit! As always,

Keep telling,
